1981 Cook Bros. Racing Cruiser 26

My favorite Cook Bros to date....a few updates a few upgrades and its my daily rider.

I scored this frame from a fellow BMX Museum patron..Thanks Shawn... Same person I scored my stainless Cook's cruiser from.

I'm not quite sure it is a 1981 but that's got to be a very close guess as to the date of origin.
Its got;

Profile 175mm cranks w/ evolution BB
Profile mini BMX hubs laced to Sun CR18 rims w/ DT Swiss spokes
S&M XLT stem
S&M 5.75" cruiser bars
Redline Monocog fork w/ 1 1/8th inch steerer tube
Head set -----?  where to start on this one?   It's an MNelson special.........
Diacomp MX rear brake and Avid front brake and levers.

Gotta love a Cook cruiser!  big_smile

Sharks are like dogs, they only bite when you touch their private parts.

Awesome! Glad to see to see the Profiles & MX901 get put to good use, they look great on there.

That frame truly is a work of art, & just crazy light. Congrats, Mark!

Re: 1981 Cook Bros. Racing Cruiser 26

I guess when I posted it that was the catagory I opted for since BMX Museum doesn't have a 26" cruiser catagory.

I just changed it to the "all around" catagory like my other bikes.................

They do need a Cruiser catagory if you ask me...................mnelson,esq.
