1984 Redline MX-III

1984 Redline MX-III

- SOLD

Redline Series 3 frame set. It appears to be an 83 or 84. I now believe it is an 84.

Found this bike complete. Took it apart and cleaned up the frame set. Plan to narrow down the year and readd the decals and maybe build back up. None of the parts that came on it were original, so Im thinking it was first sold as a frame set. Frame and forks are full 4130.

that's the beauty of having a frame fork set, you can do what ever you please with it.

Yeah but  my goal is to return it to its original state. LOL if I can figure out what that is I will be a happy camper. Just won some Red Vbars for it on ebay, second purchase I ever made on the bay.

Re: 1984 Redline MX-III

wow.....95% of my collection would be from ebay.

you won't ever know if your frame set was a complete bike. LOL original state may be as it is in your pic + stickers.
get hold of some 1983/84 magazines and that will give you some great info on the components you'll need.

Yeah Donald Ray your Redline collection is awesome! Keep up the good work.
I'm mostly attracted to bikes in colors co-ordinated with the Uniforms. The Chrome is perfect on it but it has a small ding. I think I put it there lol taking out the headset, so do the forks (those I didnt do).
