Cubs had better do some preemptive soul searching before it's too late.

I can't speak for the players, but I've looked inside and found that my entire life has prepared me to say these four familiar words: "there's always next year".

C'mon man, that wasn't a punch line. Well, now that I think about it...

Re: MLB

As a Red Sox fan, I have a hard time deciding who I want to root for more....Theo's 5-yr building process coming to fruition or Tito's run  of great managing.
So many ex-Sox players involved, too....Crisp, Napoli, Ross, Miller, Lester.....gonna be great if it ends up Cubs VS. Indians

Re: MLB

I second the cubs vs indians.  I'll be pulling for the cubbies though.  Not that I'd hate having LA take another championship home.

Re: MLB

Great WS we have in store.  Way better than most SB's for the past 10 years.

Re: MLB

Rooting for the Cubs here, I followed Arrieta since he was in the O's minor league system. Damn O's coaches wouldn't let him throw a cutter after he had elbow issues... That's what changed his career, the cutter. But if the Indians win I'd be happy too because the Red Soxs fired a two time winning WS manager, who broke the curse in Bean Town.  :P  who does that ?

Re: MLB

The Cubs played last night's game to beat the world.  It was awesome to watch.

I hope that the tribe wins it. Francona has a chip on his shoulder and im sure that he would love to break it off in theo and his money. The cubbies how bow entered a different level, Yankee like. His big spending and buying rings also created the dodgers when they had to unload all those players due to over paying. I've been force fed Cleveland sports since i have been watching sports. My roots are there in Cleveland and all throughout Ohio. Dont get it twisted, im a cards fan to the core first :/ My inheritance of Cleveland sports comes from my family.. I know that im in violation of man code 101:lol: having two teams. NL/cards and AL/the tribe.  With all that said and for the sake of my family. Dad, my uncle and my grandpa god rest his sole, lets go tribe! Please lord, bless the Indians and my family with them  finally being able to see a title brought home. They have stuck with Cleveland sports for all the lousy years and the drives handed to the browns by elway and the Broncos way back in the 80s. The Cavaliers just brought a title home and hopefully its contagious and the tribe can follow the trend. Wheres the guy who said that he didn't want to talk about Cleveland sports last year. Hey man, the Cavs winning the title and now the tribe knocking on the door could bring the city of champions back to being relevant again.:cool:

If winning isn't everything then why do they keep score?

Re: MLB

Dang, sorry about the long winded post everyone :|  Im just stoked for my family the city of Cleveland and the possibility  of being this years WS champs. Hopefully team chemistry can overcome the gang that tried to buy chemistry :|  plus, me being a cards fan makes it even better that the tribe can possibly knock off the cubbies and theos big money spending ways. This kid Lindoor is like Omar Visquel 2.0 and is a smooth as they come plus the guy looks like he's always having fun and always smiling. Lord please let the Indians be the team of destiny. The cubs can keep their curse. https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/38139/2016-09-02-09-11-40--915371267580ceaf0e9.png

Re: MLB

Not sure why you would lose your "Man Card" for rooting for two different teams that are in different leagues, you might lose it if you like two in the same league...

Re: MLB

Screw the tribe.  Cubbies haven't even won the pennant since nearly the last time the tribe won it all.  I don't need Cleveland to get all uppity like Boston & Pitt about their goddamn teams.

Go cubbies!

Re: MLB

Have the Cubs payed big for some free agents? Yep, just like any competitive team would do. But the lean years did more than allow them to just buy talent. Through drafts and trades they've developed a lot of young players and a farm system that's ranked in the top five.
Have the Cubs tried buying chemistry? Nope, you can't do that. It's something that is created in the clubhouse and from what I've seen Maddon has a PhD in it.
