Nice. I made these bars out of regular CW's. I always liked the Premium look.

I added a GT layback post, and it is comfy. Great riding.

Re: 1982 Skyway T/A
Well, I've made some changes. I replaced the Takagi opc with some Sugino CT175 cranks. I always wanted these as a kid, so I bought a beat old set and rechromed them.
I got rid of the Porkchop chainring in favor of a sweet Sugino 44t chainring, mirror polished.
I also swapped out the Porkchop seat clamp for a sweet ACS clamp. I added a GT coin to the seatpost, and added aluminum hub caps to the Tuff IIs. This bike has been and will be a work in progress.

Amazing! These look so great with the CW bars on them! Love the chrome/white/blue finish!
When I bunnyhop I hear a creak and I don't know if it's my bike or my joints. Oh well.

Well, I've made a few more upgrades. Suntour XCII pedals that I
polished, and DC MX1000 brakes.
Still pluggin' away at this one!

Re: 1982 Skyway T/A
Nice upgrades but for reference MX900s fit TAs much better than 1000s, with the shorter reach you can center the brake pads this way there's room up & down for adjustment otherwise they top out like yours are.

Thanks Wayne! As usual, you have solid knowledge on Skyway. I actually have a set
of MX900s on the way from an EBay auction I just won. They should fit much better
like you said
Thanks 1mongoose. I kind of built it on the cheap, and I'm upgrading parts
as I go. It's a little easier on the wallet that way.

Re: 1982 Skyway T/A
Thanks everyone
Here is how she sits now. I scored some white MX900s off of the Bay. These
are in great rider shape, and a great price too. They seemed out of place with
the Pro Class IIs, and I secretly longed for my white Tuffs back, so the Tuffs are back
on. I had a DC FS880 in white, so I swapped out the DC890 in the front. Vans pads
out rear. You can't deny the impact of Tuffs.
This is a pre-styler build for me. I rode mostly homemade dirt tracks, and a little
super early street (endo variations, rock walks, tail whips, etc.) People say lose
the front brake and Potts mod, and make it a racer. That's not what my old
bike was though. It was an all around neighborhood go-to bike.
Enough babbling. Here are new pics.
It is as exactly as I would have had it bitd, had I had the resources.

Re: 1982 Skyway T/A
I took some outdoor pics today to replace the outdated
ones. I've trimmed most of the pork, so to speak
Here it is when I first submitted it, and second pic how it sits now.
