1994 Haro Group 1 #0001 ???
I bought this frameset from robk a couple months ago and started stripping it earlier today.
Got down to the BB and I noticed the serial #:
I'm not an expert in serial numbers and I haven't found much info after a few searches on the web, but aren't these numbers usually sequential? Is this actually frame # 0001 or is the "G0001" part of the designation for "Group 1"? Curious minds want to know.

My guess is your frame is the first one made that year.
Still searching for my missing bikes from BITD. 1979 Blue Max serial: CI9 221346 and 1977 Webco serial: 42667. Both were last seen at Spoke and Sport Bicycles in Spokane, WA around 1984. $600 reward if found!!

Being that it was made in July, I'd lay money that it's actually #1 prod of 95 model year though, not 94.

Re: 1994 Haro Group 1 #0001 ???
Thanks for the replies. The only thing that lead me to believe its a 94 was comparing it to this bike in the museum:
http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/haro/39232
The powder color and the decals were identical.
She's all stripped and naked now. I did a mockup to try to help decide on a color. I wanted to reproduce the neon yellow but can't find anything close. Any ideas?

Re: 1994 Haro Group 1 #0001 ???
I see what you mean. My 95 has canti mounts, Hmmm. Heck I could be wrong. I just think it's strange for Haro to have production number 1 so close in date to the next model year's production start. As I recall, my 95 has a production date of 12/94 and is numbered somewhere around 200+-. Id be curious to know if anyone else has an answer to that.

Auburn_Fanatic did a '91 Auburn in a neon/day glo yellow color that is pretty eye-popping in person. You might check with him about the paint.

You should check out some of the local auto paint supply houses in your area. Between the different manufacturers, auto paint has a dizzying array of coices of color. If you want a match for a color that you have a sample of, take it in and have it analyzed with a color matching scanner. I believe there is a mid 2000's corvette that used that color, though.. you might want to check it out.

Send it back!!!!
No problem Rob, I'll send it back. But first, I'll need ummm...$300 to cover the parts and labor for the powder stripping.
Thanks for the paint suggestions. I've got a buddy who runs a NAPA and he's looking for automotive paint in that neon yellow. According to him, it should be no problem.
