2011 Mongoose Crush

Bought for my girlfriend's daughter who just learned how to ride a bike.

For a department store kid's bike, I actually like this Mongoose!! It's a great first bike for a kid who just learned how to ride. She loves it, and that's all that really matters.

Re: 2011 Mongoose Crush

Maybe put some 165mm cranks on it, that would make it easier for her to ride.

Thanks for the tip. I should have mentioned that she's a late bloomer (almost 12 years old!). The cranks should be sufficient for her size, but I'm already considering swapping out the cheap pedals that came w/ the bike. Other than that, everything's holding up so far!

Re: 2011 Mongoose Crush

I actually like this bike a lot.  The colors really pop.  Someone is selling one on craigslist that looks exatly like this pretty cheap and I may pick it up.

Thanks and I agree on the colors! The pics do not justify how beautiful the blue really is, especially against the gloss black! Please post pictures if you end up buying it. cool

So I wrote to the dude about the bike because he is selling several and asked him how much and he said "Give me an offer"  UGH!  I hate it when people do that.  I have no idea what to offer and I don't want to go too high because I don;t want to lose anything nor do I want to go too low and look like a low baller.  I hate it when people say "name me an offer"

Re: 2011 Mongoose Crush

I paid a little over $100 when I bought it new, if that helps any. I personally would start around $70 and offer no higher than probably $100...mainly because a NOS one on Amazon is currently selling for $120 plus shipping. Good luck!
