Lets see your Multi-speed BMX's

I finnaly found a wheel I dont care about if I screw it up if this went wrong. I laced a 20" rim on to a Shimano 333 3-speed hub and put it in my 'goose. This thing is awsome!

Heres how its set up

Now Lets see yours

Re: Lets see your Multi-speed BMX's

And i don't want to go the profile route. I do like the single cog in the back. So multi sprocket i guess.

This is why I don't ride gears. So confusing. But now I feel I have to do it.

Re: Lets see your Multi-speed BMX's

The hardest part of doing an internaly geared Hub is finding a F/W one with 36H flanges. Alot of them have 40 for some reason. Sturmey Archer Is the best hub. They have alot of different gear ratios.

Re: Lets see your Multi-speed BMX's

Where exactly does the cable go on the nexus hub? What kind of gear ratios come with it?

Cable goes to the hub on the inside of the drop out - I like the Nexus 8 the best because it is hooks up on the inside of the drop out - 5th gear is 1 to 1 and the hub comes with a 19t and a 21t cog. I'm running 39t on the front with a 19t on the rear. You could easily run a 44t front with this set up. Mike

Re: Lets see your Multi-speed BMX's

i finally built up my 98 gt for something..

Stormey Archer SRF-3.  I've put 100 miles on it over the winter.  Plan to add 100 miles a week once the weather is better.

I was trying to stick to TNT's, but none of mine have canti-mounts (well all but the stovepipe).
