Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
Done and done right Ryan. Magnificent!! Years ago, my brother had a 1 1/8" in the same color. I came home one day to find he had sloppily sprayed it over (no sanding) with a cheap lime green....i could have cried. I would just about kill for a 1" with 990's....but a DB more preferrably. I'm so into this bike!!

I can't help but dig the DooDoo green! It deserves better then to be hung on a wall! It wants me to ride the heck out of it. Drop me a line if for some twisted reason you would contemplate letting go of it!

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
The Holmes has and will always be my favorite bike. It was perfect for all around riding, racing street and dirt. I just rebuilt mine and had to do a 1 1/8 conversion on my 1 inch since i cant seem to find my 1 inch pitch fork or my 1inch red dk stem. All the parts came off of my fueler thats in the museum.

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
Holmes is finally getting rebuilt, this time fullblown Midschool.
I'm working on this and my cruiser at the same time, so it might take a little while...

I'm waiting for your Holmes to show up with that shafted Redneck it's been starving for! Maybe some skinwalls, and chrome bars...

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
The chrome bars are done already just trying to ID them. There is a pic of them in there. http://www.bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=32906
I replaced the seat with an odyssey junior lumberjack seat from dans. (damn I didnt think that seat was gonna be that small). Put my hutch clamp on there untill I sand and repaint my Peregrine double clamp, it's pretty banged up.
And for the shafted Redneck I got 1in Pitch Fork at my parents place along with a bunch of other stuff, but I cant't seem to find any of it. I got old Profile cranks 2nd gen I think(where you can put a sticker on them), Boss cranks, red Suppercross bars, look similar to S&M AD Bars.

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
TZ- I don't know what kind of bars you got there, but they're lookin good.
The best seats, especially for early/mid 90's bikes, is just a generic black seat that doesn't look too goofy. Usually stolen off some old mountain bike..
That's what I always used.

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
The rebuild is finally finished. Built like I would've had it back then. If any of you remember how this Homes used to look I think you'll agree it is alot better now. Thanks goes out to Jake(Spur) for the pedals! You rule!

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
You win the "truest looking S&M award" by me for this build Ryan.
You ought to get and put on an old set of plain silver peregrine 48's to make it all the way.
You are King man, that is real BMX there. The way it really was!
your bikes are junk

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
Thanks man. I think it turned out pretty cool too. Yeah, all my wheel sets get swapped around so this one will get a new set at some point...

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
Nice HOLMES indeed. I had 3 HOLMES in the mid nineties. Sold them like a big dummy who needed money. Definitely the best BMX bike.
Give till it hurts, give some more, give it all away. Sacrifice yourself.

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
I no longer have this bike. I've parted it out, but I'll leave this little profile of it up just because I think it looks cool. Plus, when I start to miss it and regret selling it I'll be able to come back and remember what it looked like.

Re: 1995 S&M Holmes
Killer project!
The red Prince Alberts go so well with the green frame. And those early decals... Oh man. Perfect.
