I need to change that to a floval, I have Brian's old red Ra10 now.

Oh man nice, what color Ra10 do you have Barry?

DIBS on both. These two are my most favorite of your builds. I do still have a burnished RA10 with the og bikeshop decal too.

Thanks Brian.

Headtube decal may be og but the downtube decal is a reproduction. Its placed too high and the blue screams repro.

Oh wow, PERFECT build brother. I love it.

The only RA10 I have is a og black ano with og gold stickers, with a matching centerline fork. Now, the fork is only temp borrowed from a match color og epoxy RM2 that I got off Jason a few years back.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

Both are wayyyyy to fresh to be og, and as Brian said the down tube decal is way to close to the head tube. Still a awesome bike, just dont think the stickers are 35 years old.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

So it wouldn’t be a big deal to peel it off because it’s bubbling anyways on the bottom Do you have a measurement from the head tube down to place a new sticker in the correct location

Peel them off and buy a new set of nice repro decals. There is no "correct" location as these were all stickered by hand but they were always in the middle of the tube so if you are anal, measure the length of the down tube and put the center of the decal directly in the center. You can look at any bike MXfan, magboy or I post as we all only collect original finish and original decal frame sets so any pics of ours will show you where the factory applied them.

No. After looking on my computer and like mxfan said, It's repop too. Last night I was on my phone.

Good luck on 24" Race Inc forks.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

Well looks like I was wrong on the decals, sorry.   I would look into Champion forks they have the same look as the Race Inc fork but the steerer tube may be to long.  Tange leading edge fork would work in a pinch.

Would you mind measuring the top tube length on your frame? I've been trying to find the geometry for the RA-24 for a while with no luck.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

Looks like an RA24. Nice. I run a cheap chrome MCS 13/16 post. They came with chrome posts from the factory. You can go with a an aluminum if you want- fluted or straight. Just depends on what you want it to look like

Its OG black ano with OG gold stickers, all faded but original. Its a more “used” version of the black ano one Jason posted on here a couple years back. I still have his pics he emailed me after first picking it up. I look and drool over them every once in a while aahahah. That thing was the closest to an NOS black ano RA10 I think we’ll see, short of one being discovered in a shop’s back room or barn. Not sure if he still has it or let it go when he was moving everything last year. Brian would probably know.

Its your choice as VR said, both are fine as long as they are 13/16”.

Years of buying and sometimes still get burned on “real vs fake”. Im sure a couple I have are NOT worth the money I paid. The real RI chromoly seat posts are my personal fav. They are very thin and light and strong as chomoly tubing is. I have a good qty of various manufacture posts, and a true RI post just looks and feels “better” quality than most.

THE PROBLEM is you are doing most of this from a phone, tablet, lap top, and its very difficult to tell from a couple little pics on an internet forum.

Best bet, be patient, shop trustworthy sellers, have your cash ready to pounce when the right one comes up, and do your research BEFORE you buy. And yes, even with all that, we all still get burned every so often.

FWIW, a good condition, uncut, chromoly, with clean OG decal Race Inc seat post will run you from 80 to 100.

Edit; I went to see how long you’ve been a member, as to judge how much purchasing insight you might need and DANNNNG that GT is bad to the bone !!! Love it and had to FAV it !
