Hey guys, go ahead and keep selling everything SE, GJS and Nomura to Thailand. Once it's gone it's NEVER coming back to the US. There really IS more to BMX collecting than money!!

If I hear the words "RARE" or "GRAIL" one more time, I'm gonna f'n puke.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

Just ran past this on my PC and thought I would repost. The infamous Race Inc RA10 framesets that Bastian shipped to the Asian market in 1984 that caused a lawsuit against Race Inc and was the final nail in their coffin. 1984 PK Rippers decaled as RA10's. lol

God I wish. No chance. They belonged to a UK collector. No clue where they are now. I also just saw one in the "my visit to Dieters" thread on page 5 or so. Id kill for one.

Ya, sadly it is that easy. We all know that the Race Inc RA7s decaled as Bashers were all RA49xxx and RA5xxxx serials but Ive never been able to get anyone to tell me what the PK serial range on these RA10s. Im guessing they have to be PK7xxxx but have no proof.

Yep. I've seen them in Germany as well. You could buy them at the Schauff factory in Remagen, Germany. They also had a some of the orange SE Quads that were a Euro only color in their shop.

Um.....no. The Race Inc RA10 frames that were re-decal'd PK Rippers were the Asian market only. These frames had nothing to do with location. Race Inc was dumping their overstock of RA7 frames in 82 to replace the RA7 with the RA10 for 83-84 and Scot bought a load of these (all serialed RA49xxx to RA5xxxx) and sold them as Bashers through any dealer worldwide. They were offered in black with gold decals  or ball burnished with blue decals. These were the last of the Bashers. 1980 were looptail mild steel SE made (actually made by the company that was building the loop Quads), 81 was Team Murray made, 82 was Race Inc made.

Re: Let's see them RACE INC's

I know Ive said this before but my very first Race Inc when I started collecting in 2003 was a gold ano RA8 with gold epoxy leading axle forks in all og finish and decals. Never seen another. I sold it on Ebay. Never seen it again. Had no clue how uncommon the fork color was.
