Re: How 'bout a mini thread

Picked up a new HARO Jr frame. Going to go a different route and build up a mini MTB with front suspension forks and front and rear disc brakes. My 7 year old daughter likes to ride trails now so this should be fun.

Will post pictures in a couple days

Re: How 'bout a mini thread

You'll have a pretty high BB with a sus fork on it.

The axle to crown on a sus fork will be way longer than a mini fork. If you put on a MTB fork, it will raise the BB shell subtantially.

Re: How 'bout a mini thread

I've never done it with a mini. I've seen it done with cruisers and even a 20", always raises the BB but if you have a very short fork then it may be reasonable. The kid who did the cruiser was able to ride, the BB height wasn't terrible but the front end was pretty raked out.

It's not bad so far. Everything measures up my the Redline mini. The bb height is still the same height( just an inch lower because of tires)

It does not look too bad actually but you can still see the axle to race on your fork is substantially higher than a standard fork. here is no way the BB shell has not been raised to where it would be with a standard fork. For a MTB style bike that may be fine, again that looks like a nice small travel fork.

Re: How 'bout a mini thread

I understand what you are trying to say but can I just have my fun with it instead of pointing things out? I am having fun building this thing with whatever parts I have and I thought I'd share

Sweet!

Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD, you want to hit it, but you're afraid of the consequences. Spray and pray.
