1999 Trek Team Issue 1

Spray Bombed heavy duty racer waiting for a build

I think I bought this from another member at clearance pricing.
Way overkill on these huge ovalized tubes.  But these are cool to look at.
Fork and Stem are HEAVY -boat anchors and would need to go first to race.
Finally threw on a set of wheels -Schwinn sealed Six Shooter hubs -raw rear w ss spokes, black front w black spokes, laced to Sun B.F.R. rims
Trek black threadless stem with etched Trek logo
Trek red headset cap
Raw 27.0 seat post with micro adjust
big 31.8mm (1 1/4") seat post clamp gloss black
Redline Chain Tensioners - raw alloy
Redline Pro Handlebars
Tektro Talon lever in cool gray color
New black/gray/white TREK decals on frame and fork
NOS Trek BMX seat (rare stuff)
Profile 44t TriFoil sprocket in raw
FSA 175 crank arms with 48spline 19mm spindle and Red Profile hop up kit gloss black
Redline alloy platfrom pedals raw silver

Re: 1999 Trek Team Issue 1

These frames are bad a$$!  I got lucky and found a 2000 with original paint that cleaned up amazingly well.  If I were a racer I would have kept it as my rider.

Re: 1999 Trek Team Issue 1

my dad had a trek team issue. he got it when he was working for trek. if the shop orderd to many they would give them to the workers as some what a pay. the bike got stolen back in 05 in San Bernardino. he had his trek for a long time. if i found that bike it would turn his frown upside down. i cant wait to see your trek finished. smile

If it was a cruiser I'd buy it.  Already have a Y-frame.
