Grew up in south florida where cyclecraft was very popular but lately they dont seem to get the respect they deserve IMO .....

Anyhow when i was 14 i ordered a cyclecraft frame , forks and bars ... Blue Faded Into Black
So i hooked up with the #1 Painter Lou who threw down a killer paint job
Have a few more things to do to the bike but loving the memories i get from this one , cause its where my passion for cyclecraft started !!! I just finished this bike friday ....

As a kid i always wanted dirtlegz ( wild forks ) but my parents would never spring so getting them was very big on my list this next cyclecraft is a XLX with Dirtlegz in Chrome which is quite rare to find being most frames were painted....

Then on to my favorite and very rare ...
Cyclecraft Block #10 of 100 made and i believe only 4 known to exist and this is the only one with the dirtlegz block forks ...Some of you might remember the drama behind this , i almost walked away from it but im glad i did not ... Again Lou put down a sick paint job for me and Ultrahive did the custom decal work ...The bike really came out incredible .....

Last weekend at bmxerpetes 4th anuual south florida gathering shockingly the bike took home BEST MID SCHOOL & PEOPLES CHOICE which was a honor far to great consiering the caliber of bikes that were there ..... BUT thats one huge step for cyclecraft lovers like myself seeing CC get whats due ....
I hope to see alot more CC's thru out this thread smile

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

Hey Guys
Did CYCLECRAFT make VECTOR's too?? The rear drop out looks like CC.
Another question, did CC make BOTTEMA'S? Or did they copy Bottema's  with the long fork tubes?
I knew about Zeronines........

So, 3  Z products... FREDDY-Z,  ForklegZ, Zeronines... Alot of Z 's flying around CC  products........
Definately an east coast bike,  we never heard of them bitd.....

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

Holy crap those are some nice cyclecrafts you guys have! Never seen the dirtlegz before, those must be pretty rare. Don't remember seeing many chrome crafts either,. very cool! That cc made zeronine is awesome too, I had a friend that had a chrome one. The pink and blue craft really brings me back, I had a tiger striped one with the same colors, never was sure if it was factory though, the local shop had alot of bikes that were custom painted back then.
I'm thinking of grabbing some of them new fredz bars off the cyclecraft website, I never see the originals go up for sale. I wish they had the old fredz decal on them, not diggin the new logo.

Keep the pictures coming!

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

yes they are very rare ........not many sets of dirtlegz around ....
I own 3 sets and about to chop one down to 16" forks yikesyikes
I will buy every set that comes up if the price is fair ....big_smile

Im alos thinking of maybe just having the drop outs moved upwards on the fork legz to give the impression of Fredz Legz which is 24" forks with the dropouts welded for 20" as shown in this pic ...
If only i knew how they would look

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

I don't know about chopping up some rare forks lol. I have seen the fredz legs before, not many had them back in the day. I remember most having the standard cc fork. I have my eye on the white one in that pic you posted from ebay. If it's still around after the holidays I might have to snag it. smile

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

Thanks for the compliment.   Nice to meet you too, and I enjoy telling anyone who will listen about my bike!  Cyclecraft definitely pushed some nice products out the door BITD.  On top of that, you would not find better people to run a company, and the team riders were classy as well.

Re: Show me your CYCLECRAFT!!!!

This is the cyclecraft frame and forks that will be converted to a pit bike ....
If anyone has a painted frame they would like to trade for this chrome frame , if you pay the shipping both ways its yours .... I hate to see a Chrome Cyclecraft get chopped down and painted over ....
The Frame is a PRO SIZE !!

I just bought this and I don't know alot about it.  I was thinking about changing the color to white. I missed buying the bars.  Any information on year 85ish and how I should build it up would be great.

Nice, but I wouldn't paint it, that's og paint and it looks good the way it is. Get some fredz or dk bars, dk stem and flight cranks.  20x1.75 wheels, sun mistral or chinook with sealed hubs like dk, revcore, bullseye etc. Get some pitbulls, comp III's, crupi/hutch/revcore pedals and you have yourself one nasty ride.. cool
