Those hoops look pretty good. And is that a blue Suntour clamp? Nice haul for sure.

Lotus Cobra.  They usually had quality parts on them.  If it is translucent blue, there is chrome underneath.  Several of my friends had them and stripped the paint.  A little small, but about the only thing they needed to be rideable was a bigger set of bars.

Yes it is chrome under the paint. I was thinking of stripping it.
The rims look to be in good shape, they are Sumo hoops.
Any idea what years these were made?

Re: $5 buck flea market pickup today 11/11/10

I want to say these came out in 85 or 86.  A friend of mine had one. I will see if he remembers.  We sold them in the shop I worked for back then.  They were a good source of upgrade parts when you got money for the frame you really wanted, and they weren't half bad themselves.  A little short in the toptube for the bigger guys, but some of the smaller guys started racing on them.

Yea I rode it some today, Im 6 ft tall. Even with bigger bars and a laid back seat post, it would be too short for me.

Crazy good parts list on that bike. Killer score! Cheaper than a pack of smokes......and better for you too.
