Re: Hutch Trick Star thread

Here's my pride and joy.  It deserves some Hutch bear traps(still on the hunt for some that I'd paint) and a rotor, which I have but need to send to lou for paint.  I'd also like to put some 80's Profile cranks on it, but haven't found any in my price range.  It rides nice.  Enjoy it - I do!

Re: Hutch Trick Star thread

1. What does the baseball sign in the serial number mean?
Stamp of the Japanese Co. that produced the frame for Hutch (forgot their name)
2. How can I tell if it is USA made?
No baseball or sun after the serial. No cable guide on fork. Longer standing platform on frame etc..
3. Why do some of the TS forks have longer pegs than most other TS forks?
Early forks had no pegs. Proto type forks had standers similar to rear on frame. Long pegs can be mounted high (top of dropouts) or mostly lower. Last came short pegs mounted low and continued this way on Japsnese models.

I am no expert but this is what I have learned mostly on here over the past few yaers.
