2000 Supercross 24

2000 Supercross 24

Supercross Race/Dirt cruiser

I came across this frame on 9/26/2010 at 1:15 in the afternoon outside of Magic Mountain at the Chevron gas station off I-5in California. This frame caught my attention due to the square chain stays.
The guy I got it from told me he was told by the guy who sold it to him it was a team frame. At the time it had 2006 frame stickers on it but I still knew by the build it was a Supercross.
I looked everywhere online to find this frame to see what exactly I had. But could not find another like it. So I contacted Bill Ryan at Supercross to see if he could shed some light on it. I took some pics with the 2006 stickers on it and asked him what it was.
This is his reply................. It was not what I was expecting.
Hi Pete,

No, that was not a team frame, that as a frame that we built in 1999/2000 that was a cross Race/Dirt cruiser.

There were only 2 of them made, we shipped them to a Bike shop that claimed they never received them and never paid for them.

This is the first time I am seeing one surface.

The stickers on it are not proper, those are the 2004-2006 decals.

Have a great day!

Easily one of the coolest bikes I've ever seen.  Big and bold decals!  I'll have to come correct when I build my SX500.

He didn’t ask for it back? I mean it was technically “lost in the mail,” right? lol
