Redline RL20II forks question....HELP

I was wondering if anyone knows if the forks for a redline rl20b are the same as, or would fit, a redline RL20II?  I've got a RL20II frame on the way and I need to find bars and forks, but I wasn't sure if the forks were the same on those 2 models?
any help is appreciated smile
thanks!

No, the RL20II and RL20 forks are 5" while the 20a and 20b are 4".

I believe so. You can see the difference in the headtubes from the pics. I'm sure there are comparison pics of the forks somewhere.

I think it's actually longer than that.  The head tube on the frame is 5'', so the steer tube on the fork should be longer than 5''.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's right.

Thats right CBA... but make sure you know what year you have. I have a 1985 RL20 but it has a 5" headtube, whereas the RL20 in the first pic looks to be an 86 with a 4" headtube. Not sure if the same goes for the 20II but I'd wait till I get the frame to be sure.
Oh, and good luck finding the forks if it's a 5" headtube. big_smile

The first pic is an RL20a. The RL20 and the RL20-II are identical aside from the top tube.

Re: Redline RL20II forks question....HELP

worst case scenario, I could probably get a set of forks and have the frame doctor or someone make or put on a longer steer tube?  I'm sure it could be done....couldn't it? smile

Re: Redline RL20II forks question....HELP

Make sure you forks have a 6 1/2" steer tube to fit a 5" Headtube.
