Saw this bike today at a flea market in Ardmore, TN.  The guy said it was a 1976 JC Penny. He also stated it was 1 of 1000 made. It appeared to be 100% original and complete down to the number plate. $500 asking price was way out of my price range! Very cool old bike for us guys who grew up in the early- mid 70's
