1998 Powerlite P24

Mojo

My words may not suffice, so I'll use the words from the CL ad I found her on:
"Powerlite Cruiser, 24 inch wheel, 22inch top tube, adult size BMX, perfect for pump, dirt, race tracks, or urban riding. This frame has over 80 hours of wet sanding and hand polishing to near perfection. It is Aluminum and the welds are beautiful. The frame is overbuilt, must see in person. It is stamped and the head badge is original. The wheels are Bombshell built up on bombshell hubs the rear is a cassette, not a freewheel, sealed bearings, red. It has a vintage GT bar, S&M Race stem, Thompson setback seat post, Velo Pronto Sl saddle and Steve Peat lock on grips, I have two sets of tires; Intense Micro Knobs black, 1.85 up front, 1.75 in back, also have Halo twin rails (UK tire) white both are 2.1. The cranks are Redline Flights, with sealed bottom bracket, pedals are magnesium, it has redline chain tensioners. Bike is dialed, in perfect condition."
I added the pads and decals once I got her home.  I decided to go with fork decals for the downtube as a tribute to the old school P-Lites that had smaller downtube decals.  They are a little more subtle, and allow attention to be drawn to the frame's finish.  Crafted with pride in the USA!

In case you didn't know, those Bombshell Revolution cassettes ROLL -- they blow Profile minis right outta the water!   I've said this before, and I'll say it again:  "From my cold, dead hands."  As you can see, I've replaced the Thomson set back with a straight, swapped the Velo seat for an embroidered (but dirty) Powerlite seat, threw on Powerlite Profiles (for now *wink, wink*), and threw on a Powerlite stem.  Different tires, too.
UPDATE 10/15/15 -- Swapped out the pedals for a set of VPs.  Also switched to a set of Powerlite Powerbend cruiser bars.  Thanks, Jef!  BTW, the image with the Thomson layback post is one the original CL pics that I responded to back in 2010.  She's also in as-found condition in the pic next to the shelf.  She was different back then, but she was dialed.

VERY NICE.  Why don't you take it outside and take some proper pictures so we can really see it.

Stuff I want: 2000 24" DB Reactor Team frame ,  Voxom and Enigma stuff. Alliant / Radix stem and stuff.  JW and Stiffys stuff.  Cool late mid-school cruiser parts.

I know, I know.  Call me an amature or whatever, but I swear I couldn't get the right angle to get the bike and the bling in one shot.  I'll give it another shot at some point.  Thanks for your comments and the love! cool

Re: 1998 Powerlite P24

Thanks, man.  I've made some upgrades since these photos were taken, with more on the way (including some choice P-Lite parts).  Yours is a sweet ride as well!

Thanks.  Your P51 looks sick with the mags on it, and I typically don't like mags. cool
