Mallet stem, 88 PP frame (really any year with the s-shaped down tube makes me happy), Dyno pretzel bars

Do I owe you feedback? Please remind me via PM and I'll take care of it.

Opinions are fine, everybody has one, but just because mine is different then yours doesn't mean mine is wrong.

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

i guess there isnt anything id like to see GT repop, GT parts are fairly easy to come by (as far as the freestyle stuff is concerned)...the only thing i could think of is perhaps some pad sets but even then i think it would take too much away from the originals

as far as stickers go ultrahive already takes care of that so after that its the thrill of the hunt! cool

Ton of fake mallets out there and if you want the 88 PFT look get a cheap 90's performer

Maybe decals that's it!

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

for instance with the mallet stems, i needed 3 for Brian P's summer slam...i got three all within a week!!! so there is no need to repop those in my opinion, besides there are already knockoffs out there if you want to go that route, plus the good ones were made by SR cool

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

some parts i'd like to see are:

the big gt pro xl bars from the 80s, but with knurling, thicker .065 tubing to be able to tell them apart from the originals.
the gt micro adjust 22.2 layed back seatposts they made in the 90's.
the gt 4 piece freestyle bars that were made from 1990-96.
the 80s gt bmx wings padsets.

a  full chromoly retro version of the 80's performer or 80s pro freestyle tour with 1 1/8 threadless headtube, thicker dropouts on the forks and frame, 25.4 seatpost, and maybe a longer toptube around 20 inches. with both front and rear 990 brake mounts.  maybe offer it as a frame and fork set?

Todays version of the PFT frame and fork. Longer tt (21-22), threadless headset, V brakes, euro bb, GYRO tabs on frame, dropouts on frame and forks design to fit pegs like Pacman style maybe.

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

Padded GT-6 seat. The 85 GT-BMX seat. Four pc bars from the early 90's. Mass produce sealed superlace and power series 3pc cranks so us family and average incomes can get them cheaper.  cool

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

Thread less mallets
Decals
Grips
Pads
Bars that actually do not crush when used.
If they do mallet stems they need to be chromoly shafted with stampings delineating them from the OG's

I like to ride my stuff and it is disappointing to see so many mallet stems with bent shafts. Hard to spend $50-80 for a Mallet that is used and may be near end of life for a rider. Different story for a non riding carpet queen.
I have also run across way too many bars with crush to the point of being unusable.

Just my observation and opinion.

Re: If GT were to make repopped parts....

repoped parts make it that much harder for us all to tell what's real or remade when the scammers try to pass off new crap for old nos stuff. you already see it happening. unless the repoped parts are clearly and unmistakably different in some way- it will be trouble!!!
