Love the red and gold - that is a sweet looking bike. The yellow and blue is classic DG though. I will get more pictures uploaded for some cool DG crap.

Re: The DG Thread
Rob,
I remember the first time Ben posted those pics of Bike Gallery...talk about wanting to go back in time. I got my first DG in '77 from a shop here in Florida called The Bike Scene. They were the local DG dealer, good selection of bmx and DG but nothing like Bike Gallery. Too cool.
By the way, your other DG is one of my dream bikes for sure.

Re: The DG Thread
Here is the newest one - still getting some parts together to make it just like the ad.
First off Thanks to Stevenbven for making this deal come together - without him - there would be no DG for me!
Some know, some don't. I am not going to post too much because the ad says most of it. HERE IS WHAT I NEED - BLACK OAKLEY II"S - I have blue and yellow to trade. PLANET X is going to recreate the plate (not sure if they even had them) but I need INPUT on the little Plaque that goes on hte seat post mast (see last picture). DOES ANYONE HAVE THE PLAQUE OR DETAILED PICTURES OF ONE? This one was said to be lost years ago. I'm pretty sure DG set out to make 100 but not sure if they did. They were going to make 3 consecutive years with three different color schemes- seems they didn't even make the second year - so VERY limited and I am going to need some help please!!!
Mine -I do have the Reedy's, just didn't have them on for this shot

I agree, my first DG was yellow with blue forks and pads, and I came really close to stripping this one down to do in those colors, but it's OG paint and decals and now I'm so glad I didn't. Picked up another one that was raw to do up in the yellow and blue...it's in the works.

Re: The DG Thread
Hi all this is my 1977 DG Racer and let me first say that this is NOT A SHOWBIKE !!!! I built this bike to ride , you can hop on it and wheelie down the street or take it to the local market. Probably the thing I am most proud of about this build is that 100% every part on this bike is an original finish part, not 1 part has been restored on this bike. Probably the thing that makes this bike special to me is not only is it a early DG 1977 but that it is a very rare undrilled DG frame the brake bridge on this frame has never been drilled. I love all the bikes being posted on this thread and hope you guys enjoy this one as well.Sorry for the bad pics I was just excited about this post and wanted to be part of it. Here`s the parts break down.
1977 DG Racer frame
1976 Tange TX-500 fork undrilled
NOS gold 1st gen araya 7b`s with sealed sunshine front hub & bendix coaster rear
NOS Race Inc bars
NOS Race inc seat post
Unstamped Tuf Neck
Sugino Mighty Competition cranks & chainring
NOS KKT pedals
NOS Oury grips
NOS nickle chain
Suntour seat clamp
70`s Freccia D`oro italian seat
NOS Carlisle tires
