Re: Just Curious To Know How You Found The Museum

i found this site just a few days after i found a dyno and a gt roadside in someones trash! i brought them home and wanted to restore them, i had always loved dyno, and in the years prior to finding the bikes attempted builds and bought parts at the lbs for cheeeaaap! wish i woulda bought more in 01 and stuck with it, but this site really influenced me to start collecting more and more (thanks for ruining my life guys hahaha lol) i grew up riding in the 90s a 1990 compe was my first bike all the older guys in the neighborhood had the high end pfts and pro models and i kinda looked up to them, now when i go to my parents i look for their cars at their parents house to see if they still have the bikes so i can buy them!! i love all bmx i grew up riding in the 90s so most of my rides are 90s ive had a few nice scores and im always on the hunt for more!

Re: Just Curious To Know How You Found The Museum

Slow day at work and my co-worker pulled up the site. Don't really know how he found it, but I was intrigued. I hadn't thought of my BMX days in years. Turns out he usta race at Hornet's nest in Charlotte, and we got to talking. Next day was Saturday, so he brought his SE to work and I brought steaks and a grill. Best Saturday I can remember at work, no customers, a wide open parking lot, steaks on the grill, and bmx bikes. Needless to say my bunnyhops and curb and foot endos were lacking some practice. He manualed all over the lot and showed me some other flatland stuff he could do, and we talked about our days racing and riding. After spending several hours perusing this site, researching  the bikes I had and remembered and always weanted, I was hooked well and good. Now, after dropping 25lb, I've got a couple of bikes I always wanted, some I didn't, I'm looking for others (Patterson, anyone?), Stu Thomson and Brent Patterson are on my freinds list (WOW!), I'm building bikes again, and I'm riding and racing again... when I can. As long as I can keep it in my budget, I can't see a downside, except that all my gunsmithing workshop space is now bike workshop space... big_smile  lol

Yep my brother told me about it,he found a Kos cruiser and researched it here,it must have been when the site started in 06,that is about how long he has had the bike,so for 3 or 4 years i came here and looked around as i guest, thought about getting my King Sting back together so joined up to talk to you all!My King Sting still is not together and i now have a boat load of bikes,i guess that is what happens when we sign up lol

Re: Just Curious To Know How You Found The Museum

I was searching for information on a Caloi BMX that I had and wanted to replace. I found someone else looking for information on whether he should buy one or not with no responses but a picture. I ended up joining here about 2 months later after I moved back to Miami.

I'm still looking for info if anyone has any. big_smile
