A question about the seat clamp Juan put on his Profile 24 : isn't it a late 80's/ 90's (mid school) one ?

Asking because I have 2 of them that I can't really date.

Anyway, your pics are amazing : must have been a great moment.

Those clamps came out in about 93.

Thanks

Re: A trip to the BMX Addicts collection! (PIC HEAVY)

Fantastic documentation of a truly insane collection! really great photos guys! Juan, that collection is simply outstanding! I'm with Kevin on the PK's (my fave is the earlier looking model with the tuffs and red tires) and of course the GJS prototype freestyler!

Charlie, when are you putting all that hamburger meat on the grill (you know, the stuff around your shin bone)? lol

Pete, definitely a cool Nourie stand you got going on there!

Those are actually Cyclecraft made Blocks they were made by Cyclecraft only in 1989 and only 100 were made ...... I own the black one #10  another member owns  the white one #13  as far as we know there is only one other one out there ... #10 is the lowest ....

The dirtlegz forks and frame both sport double wide drop outs so my forks are genuine to the frame ...
Most people are not big on Cyclecrafts but to a collector like myself the frameset is pretty significant !!

I learn something new every day.  I am a Cyclecraft fan, that's why I asked (and noticed for that matter).  I've been slowly collecting parts for my 85 Pro for the past year.  smile

Good Stuff ,It would be nice to see Cyclecrafts get a lil more respect in the collecting aspect ...
Most people just blow them off ...

Sorry to hijack the thread and to burst your bubble but I actually have the lowest known serial number Block. Mine is #08 and I have the correct forks for it as well. My forks were Nos when I got them and my frame has the first run style round chainstay/bb brace. Jason (dd pro) and Donny (gajjin) both know about my frame and to be honest I am suprised you haven't seen it on the other boards.

I know Jason's frame #13 is flat style brace. What is yours?

Cyclecraft later started offering their forks as an option with double thick drop outs so there is a very good chance your forks may not be original to the frame. It is very possible they were custom ordered from the Martino's at the time frame was made/purchased but more probable they were purchased down the road.

There is another active thread that was started three weeks ago or so on Block Bike and I listed all of the known Blocks.

Rich Barlett has the orginial prototype
#01 was given to Taj for testing and he cracked it.
I have #08
you have #10
Jason has #13
Rich Bartlett has #23 or so which is his race bike bitd

Rich was planning to offer lifetime warranties on his frame and Taj cracking his caused a lot of friction between him and the Martino's. He told me it was very tough because he was a small company just getting off the ground. Block Alternatives his company is still live and well and still in buisiness in Callifornia. He still races Mtb's and Road races and does mostly printing at this point.

There is also what is rumored to be a cracked Block frameset at Fbm being repaired that was in public hands.

Stephen

Dirt Legz with double thick drops were an option on Blocks.  That's what Bartlett ran on his.

Depends on your definition of the work "buy".  If buy buy you mean give him way too little money for nice parts, yes.  I got a nice set of Kenda Panaracer syle tires for my RL-20 build, a perfect copy of the Sept. 86 BMX Plus! and a nice copy of January 87 Freestylin'.  Oh and Juan gave me this too...
