How can I get a copy of that magazine.

Juan is the man, so much respect indeed!  Wish I could have seen it in.  Sad that it's gone.

Re: A trip to the BMX Addicts collection! (PIC HEAVY)

Yep just need the juice to buy up some awesome BMX collections from some of the biggest collectors of the time. That makes it easy to then stand on the shoulders of those same giants and be called "The Man." That whole BMX Addicts thing took a lot of soul out of the hobby for me. And now it is all mostly scattered. hmm

When I find a part i need for something I am putting together and I have no trust as to weather the part is 30 years old or 30 days old and I'm being charged a price on par with the real genuine and true item. I not only have to question the logic of people with your mind set but the state of the whole hobby in general. That is more to the point why so many people that knew better just walked away. Because they stopped being "OLD" kids bikes and are just kids bikes. Where in all that does the bullshit really lay?

I understand the buyer's name should remain confidential but can we know if the collection went to many buyers or just one?

Wow that must have been the biggest shipping bill. I bet it took a long time to dissamble the completes and wrap everything up.

Some of it belonged someone else (ie, it was on loan), and was sent back...

But I agree Sodbuster, its is easy to use the shoulders of giants. smile

After reading about how moved Juan was by his friend giving him the Diamond Back I no longer miss the Ukai rims I gave away in the eighties.

You might be able download them to your phone and then repost if they are still in photobucket. For some reason the phone doesn't have the watermark on the image.
