Re: New Zealand

It has been listed plenty of times. Obviously no takers.

It would be interesting if they started the auction at $1 no reserve, and see where the price ends up. That would dictate the perceived value.

Re: New Zealand

yeah he has been trying to sell them for over 2 years  as a complete collection= no takers  so he has sold one or two individually at highly inflated prices   I feel that he is asking too much and yes $1 reserve is the best way to sell it off if he wants to honestly sell them off

Re: New Zealand

Certainly seems interesting it's only ever been offered as a bulk lot over the years and never tried to split them. I would think it would limit your potential buyers.......

Me? That's right, I had a few GT's... 26, 24, Pro, Expert, plus JMC, PAtterson, Kuwahara and RRS..

All are gone now, except for the 82 GT 24.

Yeah that's right I thought it was you with the GT's smile I have two '88 Cruisers at the moment which i'm slowly getting parts for. Did you have to get decals for any of yours at all? If you did where/who did you get those from out of interest?

Re: New Zealand

On another note i've managed to pick up a Healing made FTC bike, my question is should it go under FTC or Healing Industries when I get around to adding it? I don't see any others on here so I thought perhaps just as reference. Any thoughts?

Just trying to figure out where my friends Pantha was made. It's a non-looptail Scout, serial: K890700809

I'm guessing it's '89 built in Taiwan?

I can't remember where I bought them. I think I have two spare sets, but they're for an 82/83.

Ah those are the wings ones aren't they? I found some of those online a while back which I put on but I was fresh into this and now am trying to find the 88 pro series ones which seem a little harder to find at a reasonable price. Ultrahive and Frog have them but trying to look for something cheaper... it's tough being so Scottish!

Looks like a very late version? Never seen a non loop tail with that gusset personally but otherwise it all looks like a Taiwanese made Pantha

Re: New Zealand

Managed to finally get my oldest interested in Bikes so tweaked this one with a few parts I had around. He chose most parts/colours but close to what I would have done except the pedals....eek.

Re: New Zealand

Can anyone recommend a bench grinder? Want to give a decent one to my old man so I can use it to do some polishing.

Re: New Zealand

Any of you kiwis remember the 'Milo BMX challenge' event from the mid 80's?
I think it may have taken place in Wellingon and was televised (maybe 2 years in a row) on TV2.

I'm curious to hear if anyone remembers it because no-one I've ever mentioned it to does, even my older brother who I watched it with doesn't remember it.

Maybe the TVNZ Challenge, in Dunedin? Youtube "TVNZ Challenge", they're up on there
