Re: 1981 Redline MX-III

donkey02, that's a sweet bike you have, please don't "restore" it. Sure it will look pretty but if you just put the seat on you'll have a classic original bike. There are not many complete original factory bikes like you have.
PS if you'd like to sell or trade it please let me know.

Re: 1981 Redline MX-III

I would have to agree with everyone, this is a TRUE survivor in decent enough shape to keep as is and enjoy. Great find this bike's a real time capsule, brings me right back to 1980 wink Thanks for sharing her, she's beautiful.

Very nice bike! Have to agree you should throw that seat on it and leave it as is. Looks like the person who owned it before really cared for this bike.

Love this bike!

Re: 1981 Redline MX-III

This was my first BMX race bike in 1981. My dad took me to one race and I was hooked. Then after the race he took me to the local bike shop and bought me this bike, although the seat is not the same. I can verify this is almost exactly what I had. The bike got stolen after around 6 months or so and I was sick over it for years. I miss this bike!
