All depends on your financial situation as it can brink well into 5 figures BUT if it were mine and I was fine financially I would never sell my original PRO STAR.

I guess with inflation instead of paying 680 you would be paying 1500-1700 today.
U sir are one lucky S.O.B. your family had money!

Were the hubs ever mentioned, hutch magnesium?

Did you guys scare this guy off? lol

On page 8 you can see the formal living room of the parents. You can tell some things by looking at that pic. $$$

I had kids because all my friends grew up and I had no one to play with anymore.

Holy mother of...
that is one sweet ride.  I hope you kept her.  Seeing the old stuff in that shape really brings back memories.

Re: Just got my 1984 Hutch Pro Star out of my parents' storage area

Yeah, I think in some earlier post...like from two years ago maybe...I took pictures of the hubs and they're the magnesium hubs.

If there's ever a show in the central Ohio or Philly areas (two areas I'm mostly around), I'd love to get it out, but until then, it's just sitting around. If a.nyone is familiar with shows in these areas, please let me know as I've never attended any vintage BMX events, but would be up for a good one.

Thankfully, I don't think I need to sell it for a $10K car. smile But I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind if I sold it for a new kitchen! Or for a deposit on a pool!

Awesome thread and awesome bike!!  I got one question... which model Ferrari did your dad own in 1984?  I'm guessing he had one based on the hat in your Christmas pic.

Dude...
It's so complete and so nice that you should save it for your kid(s).
I always say ride first...but those things go for so much money these days...
and not even complete like yours. Amazing.
