1993 Dyno VFR

Very Fast Racing

I can still remember July 11 1995 on my 10th birthday when my dad pulled into the driveway with some chrome handlebars dangling out of the trunk of his car. The bike in the trunk was this Dyno VFR. I thrashed this bike for most of my childhood and  although it's not the most awesome bmx bike ever made it still means a ton to me.

Re: 1993 Dyno VFR

AWESOME!!! I had one exactly like it, same color, Baja Blue. I was 12 and a tomboy that loved bmx bikes. Only had it for a few months until I left it outside one night and it was gone in the morning:( Loved this bike, but got a Compe to replace my stolen VFR.big_smile  It's been 20 years since I have had that bike, but I still have the receipt from the day my dad bought me that VFR.

Re: 1993 Dyno VFR

These stories resonate with me.  My twin brother and I put two 94 Dyno Nitro's on layaway on our 12th birthday. As time went on, we didn't have enough money to get them out so my dad surprised us and they were sitting in the back yard one day when we got home from school.  Mine was yellow, his was purple.  A few month's later, we left em in the garage one night when we went in for the night and when we came out in the morning they were gone.  My dad was a detective so he did what he did best and found my yellow Nitro, but we never found my twin bro's.  The following Christmas, he got a Dyno Air so he was ok with it.  We always loved those Nitro's though.  My twin bro passed away a little over a year ago and I miss him so much it hurts.  We loved to talk about bikes.  RIP C.E.F 1983-2016
