Nice! I've been after one for a bit, but they keep eluding me.

This one slipped my net a few months ago but the guy came back to me a week or so ago after finally making his mind up. I can't wait to get going on its resto!

Couple different styles of King pegs

Re: Very slowly amassing King Bike Company products....

So, I worked for King and I never saw any pegs with straight knurling on them. Only smooth and ones with diamond knurling. These do look like the size and shape of the King pegs but I’m curious what tells you they are actually King pegs?

I saw some old pics of King ads that had pegs that looked like these. They were sold to me as king pegs as well. I’ll try and dig up the ad.

Oh wow! Ok, those must have been super early. Maybe even first batch or prototypes. I’ve never seen them before at all! Nice find!

Nick who found those pegs is from England so I guess these must be some early versions before the King stuff was produced in the States. Or someone just made their own pegs which was not that unusual back then

Found this pic on an old hard drive. Any idea where this frame is?

No ideas here. Dylan Worsley was riding the latest/last prototype when it was stolen back in 97. But it was baby blue. And it didn't have a rear end that looked like that. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't aluminum. Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

That looks like the rear end from a Schwinn Azrael but with an updated front end. Maybe a prototype for a revised Azrael.

Unfortunately no. There at least WERE photos of him riding it. I remember them on the photo CDs. They may be long gone at this point though. And now that I think about it, the light blue frame that was at King/Poor Boy HQ back then was the first prototype. It got sold to a Ft. Worth local IIRC. I think Dylan’s second version frame (that was stolen) was black. That’s a LONG time to remember all this stuff. LOL.
