1985 Sling Shot 24

I acquired this bike from a former factory pro rider last spring 2009.  Shown with mostly original parts.

When the bike was acquired it had been converted for trials riding, with a 21 tooth sprocket on takagi 180 cro-mo cranks. I converted to SR TURBOX CRANKS, hollow tubular CRO-MO, with a polished power disc and 39T Chainring. It also had a Black Tuff-Neck Stem which I exchanged for the Red Tuff-Neck (cuz I thought it looked better). I have since exchanged the Chrome Tuff-Neck seat post clamp for Black also. The rest of the parts are original as purchased, except it had a pair of Dia-Compe Nippon Brakes and levers and I removed and have stored the fronts. The Viscount seat was Red & Yellow in appearance, when cleaned I discovered it was Red & White. Black Shamano DX pedals were on bike. Hutch Cruiser Bars are also original to bike. 24"SlingShot fork and all racing sponsor decals are Original also.

Re: 1985 Sling Shot 24

this is amazing:D Was it a thing to use Slingshots for trials riding? I could kind of see it, pedal kicking loaded up with the SS. Interesting.

Raced NBL tracks in the 80's East Coast. Boston is home base. Wide ranging love for all things BMX. I have great memories and continue to make them. Faster than greased moose poop.

Re: 1985 Sling Shot 24

Original owner Brent actually had this set up and did trials with this bike at one time,  that was how I received it.
I then put it back the way he raced it.

Thanks guys for comments, much appreciated.
