Re: Faveorite rider bitd
Harry Leary, because he did so well against guys bigger than he(an inspiration for those of us that are vertically challenged). I also really liked Greg Hill, and Stu of course.
I really wasn't big on freestyle, but give mad props to anyone who got big air.

Re: Faveorite rider bitd
My first favorite was Greg Hill.
THen I began to respect some of the amazing amauteurs, like Richie Anderson.
The last guy I thought was pretty cool was Todd Slavic.
Kinda weird calling them your favorite when you had to race against them!
"Chris C" is my name on VintageBMX.com

Re: Faveorite rider bitd
Mike Dominguez flat out, that guy got robbed in the 86 king of the skateparks. Guy busts a no-footed can-can and gets beat by Fiola? Come on now, Dominguez ruled.

Re: Faveorite rider bitd
Harry Leary and Eddy King for race and Dominguez for freestyle. Seriously who could pull a bigger 540 than Dominguez??? If you want to talk old school amateurs, than it would have to be Shelby James, we rode in the same class and for awhile the guy seemed untouchable.

Re: Faveorite rider bitd
While at Woodward back in the hey day, I got to meet quite a few guys...
Hollywood was there for a while, Eddie King was prolly the "coolest" dude on earth to me (he was with Diamondback at the time)..Mike Paulson from Schwinn was there, realy nice guys...
One guy who was kinda an a$$ was a freestyler by the name of Fred Blood (rode for SE Maybe)...All the other riders would talk to ya, and hand out stickers by the dozen (free stickers were the shiZ back then) Fred Blood however actually set up a mini "yard sale" and started selling his stickers, shirts, etc. to all the kids...
I must admit, I was first in line to buy his stuff, but as I look back, I always thought that was kinda a dick move...(to sell stuff you knew damn he got for free)
Just my two cents...
FAVE would be Eddie King, Close second to Mike Miranda...
