The color looks brighter, or is it just the lighting?

Wow. I had a yellow 81 motomag I bought new stolen by an ex-friend turned thief in about 1984. I miss that bike to this day. Gorgeous.

I like it.  However, the  original yellow was a lot less bright than that, right?    I have a black goose that want to paint it yellow as it was originally.  Do you know how can I get the original color?
