1981 Mongoose Motomag

BMX Bandits Goose's Replica

After watching the film for the first time in years I thought about the Diamond Back Silver Streak I had for short time as few year before. I watched the start of the film again a few weeks later, and kept watching the start, those bikes look so cool in sunshine reflecting on all the chrome, so I had this thought
Could I get all the parts together to build the Goose's Mongoose and PJ's Diamond Back?
And these are the Results:
Yes..... you can, 6 months later and lots of money they are complete :0)
There are a few bikes used in the film, and whilst trying to find the make of V-Bars used, found another member on here that has one of the original bikes from the BMX Bandits, how cool is that, and he's done a great job restoring it ;0)
I bought some original parts from this member Thomy96, as he needed funds for new parts, some are not original but I was please with the parts that I think are, one being the seat which is now sitting proudly on my replica bike, thank you Thomy, hope you are well :0)
I have used many NOS parts on this built, Win V-Bars, Shimano Brake sets, Tange Seat Clamp, Grips, spider, chain ring, pad set.
Hardest part to find: Skyway Tuff II Alloy Hubb in Blue
I also started collecting other BMX Bandits film items and got hold of a Mask to go with the Blue Helmet, even found the Oakley stickers to put on it

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness............-Emo Philips

G'day mate, I can't believe I've finaly found someone with a bmx bandits mask!! I've been searching for one of these for 25 years!! Lol

Can you please tell me the brand of it?
Would you ever sell it?
If you come to Australia I can take you to the beach at Manly where it was filmed. The big pine trees are still there lol.. It hasn't changed much.

Your bike looks awesome! I really want to do one myself!

Cheers, Tristan
