Re: 1988 Auburn CR-20R
Yep, Forks are straight....The early Auburn forks such as these did have a bit of rake to them.

Thankyou for the comments.
The 1988 Auburn was one of my holy grails.....Wanted one ever since I saw a pic of Danny Millwee's Auburn with the flame paint job in BMX Plus back in 1988.
Massive thanks to Dave Blair in Melbourne Australia for hooking me up with the frame/forks.

Re: 1988 Auburn CR-20R
Great job man I like the white grips and seat, it kinda sets it apart from the others I've seen.
I recently got a 1990 CR-20R from XXrlproline24XX that is nearly identical. I'm waiting on the fork to arrive from oLDsCHOOLbmxgRL and its on! I am glad another fine Auburn is in the museum
Caution! Made in Taiwan stickers found on USA made Mongoose frames are known to be made in China.
I'm gonna go get the papers get the papers

Re: 1988 Auburn CR-20R
XXrlproline24XX (Chris) is a good guy...I got the Repop Auburn decals from him and they are an exact copy to the originals. A friend of mine also bought a green CR-20RX frame/forks off Chris too.
The white is a welcome change from using black all of the time...It blends in well with the decals too.

What do you think it'll look like with some white skin walls?

Never really been sold on the idea of colored tires on a race bike although if I was going to get colored tires for the Auburn I'd definately go with white.

Another classic from the late eighties with some great parts.
Are those forks straight?

Re: 1988 Auburn CR-20R
Very nice build Revcore... My 88 played a small roll in the creation of those decals too. I believe Chris used his 1990, and my 88 to confirm design and placement.
Yours looks great in black too!
