Incredible!
I keep coming back to this bike. It is seriously one of the coolest bikes I've seen here. I love it!

Re: 1976 Kenny Roberts Grand National
this bike makes me want to cry. got all choked up! have not seen those tuff wheels since '75. cranks are cool, didn't know they were ashtabula, thought some other brand. I broke some of those cranks. anyway, I think a LOT MORE needs to be said of these frames, it seems to be a part of the Champion, and PR Sentry brotherhood. Forward thinking design, the dropouts, the low slung stance, large diameter chainstays, and the slightly wider that usual front triangle spacing.... one bad bike! they were rare back then, I saw only a couple of them. One was owned by a team mate, Philip Easterling of Family Bike Shop Redwood City Nor Cal. I remeber it was usaully the older bigger guys riding them. These are even more rare than the Champions, I remember seeing more Champions out there! At Mclaren Park in SF, the Hank n Franks team had some Sick Champions! Long winded post? hey, I gotta tell SomeOne! You know what you don't see? I don't know if any of you old timers remember some guys were running Akront rims on their Champions, big fat wide alloy motorcycle rims, on the rear. I know this isn't the Champion section, so what?! it's the champ's blood brother! an some one else here come up with some more history on this frame?! I didn't search for it, still stunned by the rare beauty of this bike. see what happens? start poking around in here and, that's it!!! where's my SEMI CHROME?!

Oh yeh, i had this frame too in Monterey, CA. Sold it to a kid down the street. I regret it. Still looking to get it back and the redline squareback....ugh. building my Race Inc. now just to bide the time....
the chrome ashtabulas broke like crazy and were recalled making them very rare!!!!!
