1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model

Inspired by member acuzerfdw's PFT, I call it Julius.  As in, "Day Glo Orange" Julius

1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour.  I bought the frame/fork/bars/seatpost/stem and some other miscellaneous parts from a guy off of Craigslist.  It was power coated in flat black with Performer mags.   After seeing acuzerfdw's PFT in the museum, I thought that it was about the coolest bike ever, so I decided to build another one, just like it.  Spent the past 7 months or so getting parts and getting it painted by Lou.  And here is finally the finished product.  I think it turned out SWEET and I'd like to thank acuzerfdw for the inspiration.
Here's the parts breakdown:
87 GT Frame/Forks/Bars/Post with new Day Glo Orange paint (Lou)
GT Mallet Stem, original
Epoch headset, original
Weinmann Rims with GT Mohawk Hubs
GT Freestyle Tires, not original, but very nice
Dia Compe 883 and 990 brakes/pads
Dia Compe Tech 77 Levers, new
Odyssey Gyro
GT sproket/chainwheel
3 piece Eastern cranks & bottom bracket (Power Series look-a-likes at 1/3 cost)
VP Pedals
Viscount GT seat
Repop GT decals by AJKBikes
KKT Chrome Chain
GT Frame Standers, painted by me
GT Fork Standers in original black
New Ame Rounds Grips
Let me know what you think.  Thanks, Dave

I've seen mentions to Lou.
Does Lou have a website like Chip?

Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite and 2011 Crupi race rig, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates.
