IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

He's charging $100.00 for a hooded sweatshirt on Ebay. What is he gonna say about inflation for a sweatshirt from the 80's. I was all for bringing Hutch back but this is just crazy.Whats next $80.00 hats?

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

I'm suprised that after all of the verbal bashing on all of the sites JDB didn't have a nervous breakdown.

Go over to os-bmx and see how the true "purists" of this hobby really bash the man.

I'll offer him for trade psychological counciling for real og NON HUTCH parts !

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

Before he bought the Hutch name someone was selling Hutch sweatshirts on Ebay for like $35.00. Why does it cost him $100? The cost on his other items is alittle high dont get me wrong but $100 for a sweatshirt is just robbery.

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

you guys don't shop much do you? he can get 100$ for a sweatshirt all day long if it's marketed to the right folks.

did he buy Hutch BEFORE Nike did those Trickstyler Dunks???

i shop all the time,  and buy expensive cloths.   i would never pay 100 for that shirt.

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

He would be CRAZY to go to Rockford. I think $50 for a sweatshirt would be o.k. but not from a company that has no product on the street. Whats the wating period on these 4 months?

Almost forgot, guys remember these sweatshirts are for show purposes only, if you break yours you'll have to wait for the replacement sleeves to come in.

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

Hutch is doomed, JDB thinks that overpriced new hutch crap will sell like hotcakes.
The economy will put the last nail to the coffin for hutch.
To many of the old school people here in bmx museum, we remember what the hutch brand was back in the day.
Now in the present, many young kids have no idea what the "hutch" bicycle is.
The young kids would rather buy a Fit, 2hip, and other brands of bikes due to prices within their range and
the knowledge of the companies.

Just looking at hutch prices for their stems is mad crazy.
if hucth is gonna make frames and forks that will cost over a grand to buy.
then its doomed to failure, not many will buy..

JDB is relying way to much in the history of hutch to sell itself.
Just build an affortable frame and fork and bike, and people will buy the product.
Build a hyper inflated expensive frame and fork and bike, and people will ignore your product.
JDB needs to take some class course in economic's 101 at his nearby college.

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

Im going to have to agree with estados on this one. The market for BMX is in the new stuff,. maybe a threadless deep H stem would have done him more good than anything else. Trying to re build Hutch with reproduction parts is going to keep his product and market extremely small. If he would have left the old Hutch behind and focused on new school Hutch parts maybe he would have had a chance.

Re: IS JDB CRAZY!!!!!

when kappa made hutch look a-like items they were not millions of dollars. they already made the trickstar, cranks, ect. that company didn't stick around either.

Thats what will come in time (what he said his eventual plans are)  The current reissue parts are to get into the market, build some capital, then use that to produce new current products.  This can take years.

c'mon that thing is sick, and it's embroidered for chrissake. I could see your complaint if it was a screenprint...

i just ordered an embrodered, front and back, fedor emilienenko hoodie. it has his name on it and the russian eagle on the back, all embroiderd. it also is being shipped from around the world. it was liek 60 bucks. i ordered this one and it comes with a free bootlegg dvd
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fedor-Emelianenko-M … 3ef9b6d027

but anyway, i guess its 100 bucks because its limited. his friend made them for hism so the cost was probably not that much. a computer does the stitching its not liek someone is doing it by hand.
