1990 Kastan Proline
My last race bike--a Kastan Pro-Line that I bought new in early 1990.
frame: 1990 Kastan Pro-Line (20-1/2" TT),
fork: Kastan Strut (lefty),
head set: Tioga Bear Trap II,
bars: Kastan Forklifter II w/power bend,
stem: DK Pro XL,
grips: A'me Tri (bubble logo),
brakes: Odyssey Pitbulls w/Dia-Compe Tech 3 lever,
seat/post: Uni Turbo w/fiberglass post,
seat clamp: TNT,
cranks: Redline 401 180mm,
BB: Kastan Tecmatic II,
sprocket: Redline Flight 43T,
chain: Izumi black/silver,
pedals/cages: Revcore,
rims: Araya 7X,
hubs: Kastan/TNT Revolver,
tires: Comp III 1.75/1.50,
flex fighter: DK D-Lock,
weight: 22 lbs. 6oz.
I had the cranks rechromed, replaced the tires and rims, put some Revcores back on and swapped the BB. Virtually everything else is original to the bike including the decals. Believe it or not, I used to ride a half pipe with this thing!

Thanks Paul. It's a very nimble/responsive bike, but the steering angle is a bit too quick for my taste. It served me well for my last racing season--very light and quick. I've always kept this bike with me through the years while the others stayed back home in Alaska.

I can't remember any warranty, but there was probably something about it being for BMX competition use only. They ended up recalling them to be replaced by regular Kastan forks.

Wow. You rode ramps on a UniBlade?!! You must have been like Eddie Fiola smooth! Gorgeous bike. Head tube angle was a little much for me, too.

I actually used to ride half pipe with myt Uni Blade as well when I rode for Kastan. I never had any problems with mine.

Wow nice bike man i used to live in wayne to for about 9 years on feyett ave .Do you know Joe Mcroy or Vinny lynch or Liz mullen or Mike Demareaya.Good freinds of mine .Did you ever hang out at the grass hopper or gabereals.pEACE (MYONE)Home grown on the mongoose farm.

I had a buddy back in the early 90s had one of these. One day he went of on his own to a fav jump pot and snapped the front fork off and was knocked out for a bit. Luckely some more guys came along and found him. He wasent very pretty until his face healed fully. Dangerous design always was leary of them until he snapped his and then it was confirmed. Loks cool but dont be to rough with em or you may eat some dirt. Oh yeah I also remember a big set of dubs in Ca saw another one snap. Not for me.

What's up?! I wasn't planning to bring it this time. I actually brought it to SS a few years ago. Hopefully next year I'll have my KEX PS 20 & 24 done and I'll bring all my Kastans
