1986 Kuwahara Scamp

This is a true survivor. The only things I changed were the grips, tires and chain due to the condition of the originals. Everything else is as it came from Kuwahara when it was new.

Cool to see the lower end bikes.  Sort of like the Dodge Scamp - not the most desired,  but cool to see one!

Re: 1986 Kuwahara Scamp

Thanks, I had a splatter paint magician pro in the same color when I was a kid that was stolen. I had never even heard of the Scamp but I saw it on the bay and had to save it.

Re: 1986 Kuwahara Scamp

I'd like to know more about that particular yr and model such as price. I found one today in a junk pile and from a distance I thought it was a new style cheap Walmart smurf bike. Upon closer inspection I saw the name and bein 38 I immediately knew it was from my childhood. Looks to be all original other than the tires and maybe grips but not sure. All it needed was a chain, some air in the tires and wd40. I've been riding it all afternoon.

Re: 1986 Kuwahara Scamp

Sorry, I don't own this bike anymore. I can tell you though that most parts on it were just noname stuff. The only parts from how it came new that are on the one I had were the tires, grips and chain.
