1988 Redline RL-20b

old school ride that I saved from going to a scrap metal recycler. Survivor condition....

I got his ride from an old friend of mine when I was visiting my hometown for FREE. I remembered he had it all this time and I asked what he was doing with it. It was in his in laws garage just collecting rust. He told me to "take it and do something with it". It was in ROUGH shape. I stripped it down, and cleaned it up . It was almost all original except that it had Haro group 1 race bars and generic dirt tires. Other then that, it was all stock from the Fuan A`me tri look a likes to the Araya 7x/Joytec 48s. I was shocked that the fork pegs were still on it.  I believe it`s an 88 due to the gray rear triangle.
Well.. here it is now. A year ago,I put it together just to ride it and even tried a 1 1/8" conversion and newer style 3 piece cranks for an experiment. After a while I started to miss it`s vintage look, so i put most of the original parts back on.I think it looks better that way.  Dont mind the blue side wall front tire.. it`s temporary. Looking to use this as my regular rider. Changes to be announced ...lol
UPDATE: pic 2 ... Here it is as of 3/24/11. I made a few changes. I swapped out a few parts to make it a lil lighter and to save some of the OEM stuff from being destroyed from my riding ..lol I`m still trying to get used to the changes....=P
