Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross Cruiser 24

best of luck- this home owning thing is a pain in the ass! I have a new found respect for my parents and all they did to maintain a home, put me through school, buy cars, put food on the table, etc....

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross Cruiser 24

I have never seen an ELF crack either and I have always found them to be very strong bikes- like I said in another post- take what you are reading with a grain of salt as there seems to be some bad blood between Supercross and ELF....
....I'm posting this here instead of in the research section because it's only supposed to be for research and not discussion. :)

Does anyone else know of any ELF frames ever breaking from racing?

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross Cruiser 24

Man I remember when houses in my old neighborhood were going  for 75k and a million dollar home was a mansion, our house cost 115k now they say it's worth 400k, I sure wouldn't pay 400k for it. Dam was it hot out there on tuesday too??!!

I've always liked your cruiser frame better than mine, it's the blue old school stickers that give it that "stone cold" look!

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross Cruiser 24

Any Elf cruiser is cool in my book, but i do have a love for the 92 and older because that's when I was building them. It hasn't been very hot here lately because of the smoke from the fire in Santa Barbara. Let me know if you get that frame.

Not much. How's the new house. Your myspace makes my computer freeze up now.

The new house is great! A lot of work but it's great. We're just trying to make it feel like home now. I've been meaning to change my page back.

Re: 1992 ELF Doublecross Cruiser 24

I have several ELF bikes I am going to sell.  They are all in good condition.

The oldest one is a junior cruiser.  It is about a 1988 model.  It sat brand new on a shelf until I purchased it in 2002.  My son , who was 12 at the time raced it a few times.  The chrome is in excellent condition with no rust.  There are no dints on the frame.  I intend to sell this bike as a going race bike.  It has susie hubs on araya rims.  The bottom bracket is ti. The cranks are 165mm with a spare set of 160 mm dotek's.  The headset is an aluminium one.  The stem is a DK. The bars are either GT or Answer (USA made). The brake lever Tioga and the brakes just blue alum Taiwanese.  The tyres are 1 1/8 primos.

My son peeled the origional sticker off - he thought it was a fake ELF - not realizing it was an older style.
