Dk Talk
Has anybody out there considered starting a thread for DK's. I ask this because I have met several people who love the DK's. Mid- schools and some new schools and let's not forget about those old school stems that just about everybody has owned. Post your pics and share your opions. I will be posting my pics. later this week, I got some new parts coming in and want to update my pics.
Please no trash talking. If you don't like the product don't comment.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: Dk Talk
I'm not a fan of the stems (after breaking 3 of them BITD I took a hint), and not such a fan of their new school stuff (admittedly, I've only ridden their cruisers which sucked), but the early Kastan made DK frames with the double barrel wishbone were some of the sexiest bikes I have ever seen in my goddamn life. I liked the way they rode too. I'd like to have one of those one day. I probably still wouldn't run a DK stem on it though...

Re: Dk Talk
i love their quill stems i would run one over any other stem any day excludin esp ofcourse. much lighter than a tuf neck as i recently discovered. at least the old square style ones. i like the look more too. their seat clamps and headset lock are nice too. and it doesn't get any cooler than first gen dk high flange hubs. also like the bars. so it generl i like all there old stuff but i don' t know about the mid / new stuff

Kev I was the same way until I started breaking tehm all over the place. Then I realized that in addition to ESP, Hutch, TNT and GT meat mallet stems were all far superior to DKs. I pretty much never looked back after I found TNTs, until I found Rednecks.

I picked up my 1st DK at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. I ride it occasionally, nothing hard. My son loves it. I just wished I knew which model it is.

I got a Dayton off craigslist a couple weeks ago. It is disassembled minus a few parts. Where can I decipher the serial number to check the year?
