80s TOYS!

The Lego and Hotwheels threads have me a little excited about checking out my old toys.

Post some pics of your old toys or any collector's stuff from the 80s (70s are okay too smile)

Re: 80s TOYS!

I'll have a bunch of stuff to post once I raid my parents' place. For now, here's some stuff I have laying around the house:

Does anyone remember what these things in the top row were called? They have a hologram sticker on them that has wood, water, or fire. Followed by G.U.T.S. and M.U.S.C.L.E.S.

Disney ones are from the late 70s. Smurfs and Snoopy are early 80s

Re: 80s TOYS!

i was a teen in the 80s spending all my time on bmx bikes.

but the 70s.... thats right up my alley.

http://i33.tinypic.com/331ovbk.jpg
evil knievel stunt bike. one of the best toys ever !!!

i was also a huge SSP fan. remember those ?
the cars with the big rubber wheel you yanked a
pull cord through ??
http://www.timewarptoys.com/sstocker.jpg
this was my fav of those.
i broke my wing the first time it shot under the couch.

these things were down right deadly. they freaking flew !!!!

i loved the smash up car set. i destroyed them all the time.
i must of got one of those sets every year
when i was between 5 and 8 i guess.
http://www.btinternet.com/~nsinbath/ssp.htm

we would crash them so hard the bodies would come apart.

Re: 80s TOYS!

I remember the smash up cars... I've been trying to find pics of those off and on for years. The ones in that link are older than the ones I have, looked just like that, just different cars. Loved the SSP cars too. Best toys ever!

Re: 80s TOYS!

My mom almost got rid of these at a yard sale this summer. Been buried in her attic and forgotten for about 20 years. Some of my old Transformers and Go-Bots.

Re: 80s TOYS!

Don't have any pics, but how about Stretch Armstrong or the Six Million Dollar Man doll that you could look through his bionic eye, at least until you dunked him under water and got water in it.
I remember the Evil Kneivel wind up cycle as well.big_smile
