1977 Hank & Frank Force 1

Very rare. Originally made for The Hank And Frank race team located in The Bay Area.

I got this frame from a guy I knew from work. He kept telling me he had an old "Panda" that he got from a welder friend of his. He said the guy kept one and gave it to him for his son. He finally brought it to work and I knew it wasn't a Panda. I took a pic on  my cell phone and sent it to my nephew. He put it on the museum and within 15 min I found out that it was a Hank n Frank. Apparently around 200 were made and sold through the team store. Very prone to breaking they were discontinued. I wanna thank my nephew Matt ( Fulthrotle73 ) for getting the decals.

Sweet bike! A friend of mine used to have a nickel Hank and Frank frame. He did not remember what he did with the frameset.

Re: 1977 Hank & Frank Force 1

sorry...definitely not trying to bash but how do you figure this is from 77?    i know they made some in the early 80's (which are very rare) but don't think H&F were building bikes that early.

Year make and model info given directly from Hank and son frank in Lafayette ca. one week after he received the frame. We got an entire history lesson from frank that was very cool. These frames were made for h&F and silver shield teams. Force 1 was made in 77 Force 2's were made from 78-79
Matt.

Heres an ad and a H&F test article from the August 81 issue of BMX Plus.  Thought that you might be interested if you haven't already seen it.

Re: 1977 Hank & Frank Force 1

This is a bad azz bike, geometry was very advance compared to bikes of the same period. Very cool, and a very clean build.

Re: 1977 Hank & Frank Force 1

The tubing is very thin/petite and there are no gussets,so they tended to break by the head tube
