1982 Mongoose Supergoose II

sometimes the simple things are still the best!

this is one of my all time favourites, the good old gusset supergoose,an all time classic for me.there were plenty of these kicking about when i first got into bmx in the summer of 1983 and although not as smooth as your skyways or jmc's ive always loved them, mostly because they bring back so many good memories of the early 80's and when summers WERE summers back here in the u.k!the frame and forks have had the full works with a rechrome,,the rest of the parts were nos before fitting, parts are as follows:
rechromed 1982 supergoose 2 frame and fork
early non knurled gt pro bars
  ukai shineshides
  takagi tourney  cranks
kkt lightning pedals
dc 1020 caliper with shimano dx lever
  izumi chain
  uni turbo seat
  tioga comp 3's(silver blue label)
original padset,(not repro)
  suntour power stem
  suntour seat clamp

You're absolutely right...the simple things ARE the best. Brilliant color combination too.

An exquisite build and one of my faves!

Don't mind me. I'm just here to look at pictures.

thanks guys for all the comments,it makes it all the more worthwhile, this was such an easy build too,it was just the color scheme that took me a while to figure but it turned out just fine

Re: 1982 Mongoose Supergoose II

it is truly amazing what a logo padset does for a bike....I'm building this bike now, same color scheme.  Now I'm super pumped,  It looks awesome.
