Re: 2001 GT Dave Voelker Metal Issue

Nice bike & done with GT parts, as it should have been done.

But why you chose GT Show parts?
Forks & chainring make it look like a flatland bike.....which is not. It's up to you though wink

Again, nice bike!

It's because I like easy gearing and flatlanding smile

I didn't really want to rebuilt it to exact factory specs. I may replace the fork but it'd be hard to find an og one

It has chrome pegs now

aha..i see.
Maybe i just see it differently cause i'm a park/street rider wink

I have the og forks in the bike room, they were mounted on a 2000 GT Tour 2....but they are used/scratched.
Pegs do look great!

Minimal offset forks work great for street, at least for me.

I wonder if the gt show fork is much weaker than team fork...

Yes, they are weaker but also much lighter than the pacman "team" forks.
GT pacman "team" forks are almost the same tough as the classic S&M Pitchfork........the downside is that GT Tour with the "team" forks is a bit heavier at the front hmm

This bike is sick!!!  I really like the white parts against the black/chrome.  Totally stoked on this bike!
