Sanded welds and rounded chainstays

I bought this bike a couple years ago to start riding bmx with my 6 year old.  I had the frame powder coated and built it up as my daily rider.  Here are some details. . .

Bullet Proof hubs
SUN RHYNO LITE rims
Maxxis Maxx Daddy 24 x 1.85's
Tektro brake lever

ODI grips
Specialized Body Geometry saddle

just curious , but i have always heard sanding welds out makes them much weaker ?
