A little more progress. Just gotta make all the adjustments and cut down the steer tube on the fork. I just hate to do it now because I’m waiting for a overload stem from Standard that should be back in production by the end of the year but it looks super sketch the way it is. Anybody know where I can find the Standard sticker that is on the down tube?

Tried to post this up in the bikes section but it would upload.  1998 Standard Tao, eventually I will switch out the sprocket, just too big, beggars can’t be choosers when it comes to Graveyard.  http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/124908/ac634ad2-6c7e-4be2-a9e6-6f51a1ee1bfc5dc22ea64e.jpeg

Hey all, I will soon finally be a Standard owner. They are building up my custom Pit Boss frame.

Question... can't find this on their site or anywhere, what is the seat clamp size on these Standard frames?

Thanks in advance!

Already did it, I didn’t realize how far forward the bars were until I looked at the picture.

I got a few of the Tech decals in this lot, I need to use a couple but I'll let you know if I have any extras (I actually lost one some how when opening the package, so hopefully I can find that).

Send me a PM with the style of 125R decals you need, I might have them. I am slowly unpacking all the bike stuff at the new place so I can see if I have any.

The Pit Boss will use a traditional 1" (25.4mm) post and a 1-1/8" (28.6mm) seat clamp.

Post some pics when you get it! I like the looks of those frames with the beefier chainstays.

Sure will! I reached out to Jess @ SBC, mine is getting some custom touches too... raw w/ clear finish (instead of the matte black), no gyro holes, and an extra cable guide (to get rid of need of velcro strap to hold cable by head tube). I'm beyond excited to finally get a US made bad ass frame.

Just slam the stem as you would and put whatever spacers you'd be losing on top of the stem before tigheting it down.  They don't need to be below the stem, just somewhere on the steerer to keep it snugged down.  Once you get the overload, you can see how much thicker it is and then trim it then if you still want to.

Finally decided a direction for the 2000 125R....since it's got the flared seat tube, I decided to do Orange early style Motocross stickers on it

On a side note.....I'm loaning Rick some of my og late 90's125R sticker sheets and it sounds like he will be getting them remade in the future  wink
