I sell those to you? Anyways I want them back! No jk. If I remember right I couldn't use them because of the stitched in pad and how it blocks the brake lines but maybe it was just meant to be for frames without those setups.

Maybe I did get them from you, I was trying to remember where I got them. It would have been many years ago.

Looking for Midschool race and DK stuff.

Brakes are done, just need to pick up THE pedals, and am waiting for THE axel nuts to be delivered.  Oh yeah — I did take her for a quick spin...

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

So this past weekend I stopped by and visited with a bike shop owner who I raced for back in 1983/84.  He pulled out a photo album from the late 70's and explained in January 1978 he traveled to the LA area for a bike industry convention.  He remembers it was Jan 78 because he was "stuck" in LA for a few extra days because of a blizzard in Indiana.  He said he spent most of the extra time in LA with Peddlepower/Powerlite founder Steve Rink.  He said Steve was a great guy, took him to some local races during the week (we didn't have that in Indiana) and he spent a lot of time with Steve at his Peddlepower shop in Orange, CA.  The pictures here are pics I took of photos in his album so apologies for the quality.  The picture inside the shop is of Steve sitting at the counter.  Note the yellow Peddlepower forks, FMF, MCS stem and totally dig those high flange hubs on a couple bikes for sale in his shop!

In BMXA's 10th anniversary issue, the photo is featured, and the caption pretty much says, "Hard to believe people are going crazy over a smelly glove."  lol  There's a chance I'll dig my copy out, and post the pic.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

Was lucky enough to be able to purchase this Revcore recently. Very cool bike. Original owner had gotten the wheels from a rider who had run them on his team Powerlite bike. If anyone has some team Powerlite rosters (I'd guess maybe 80-82) it'd be cool to put the story together. Pic of bike and front hub.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

I've had this 1981 standard Powerlite for a while, this is the second time I refinished it, it used to be yellow. Rebuilt it for the Covid buildoff, made a few more tweaks after that. It's ready for pit duty now. smile
