1994 Dyno Compe

1994 Dyno Compe

Rare "Purple Plasma" paint finish

Very good survivor condition, & all original spec apart from tghe rear pegs & the Dia-Compe Bulldog Calipers that I have fitted, as the rear Propanet caliper was missing when I first got the bike.
Has a very unusual black and purple paint effect that looks very "early 90's". I'm told it's called "Purple Plasma", and quite a rare paint finish, it sounds very cool...  Frame is hardly marked and factory decals in superb condition, just the chrome on cranks and bars letting it down a bit. I will leave it as it is, as the bike is a true survivor. Originally supplied by Daycocks of London, (sticker on downtube 3rd photo) who are still selling bikes today.
* ACS chrome & black rims, with ACS Hubs stamped "1993".
* Vee Rubber "Comp 3" Gumwalls.
* Dia-Compe Bulldog Calipers with Tektro levers and Odyssey 1" Gyro system.
* Dyno branded Chrome plated Bars, fork, cranks and layback post.
* GT branded seat post clamp, stem and platform pedals.
* Viscount "Dyno" seat.
* Dyno grips & Chain ring.
* Dyno front pegs, Haro Fusion rear pegs.
Serial shows January 1994 date of manufacture = 1994 model.
Nice to ride but very heavy!
Now sold!

Fabulous condition..... Nice grab wherever you got her.

All you need is a black bulldog rear brake, and you're ALL OG!

Welcome to you London Funk.... From Chicagoland!

Re: 1994 Dyno Compe

Thanks Guys, I picked it up at a car boot sale here in the UK, I guess you call them trunk sales in the US?

Always finding interesting old bikes on my travels, not just BMX, most I clean up, sort out and sell again on Ebay, but the interesting ones I keep, have a growing collection of old BMX and mountain bikes in various states of build, I just love riding them.

This one was so cheap I just couldn't resist it. Cost me just £5! Will get round to doing it justice soon, will keep you posted. Mark

Re: 1994 Dyno Compe

Hmm, found the same purple plasma under thick black can paint. I just took off the junk paint with some aceton and purple plasma was back again as on the very first day. But now I see I've made a mistake. The bike shown here is the pefect clone of mine, but I sticked "air" decals on it. S.H.

I had an old friend who had this bike... I haven't thought about it or seen it in years.  Thanks for the pics
